How about promoting visitation to the numerous wave parks that local governments and organizations spent millions of dollars to attract people to? Go ahead and share the video and stoke of the natural spots without outing their location. It's a very small consideration to make on behalf of the local surf communities in those spots. Plus, maybe it will encourage some dedicated rippers to go discover new spots, there are so many out there for those willing to put in the work!

Crazy how lowkey river surfing still is. Get out there why you can bois and gurls, one day those killer spots will have a line up.

Is this what you do with all of the small local breaks you travel to? Call the spot out and even show a map of the area? This goes against standard culture in surfing but I’m guessing someone like you already knew that. Very strange move and a great way to turn friendly locals into protective ass holes. I have to remind myself of this everywhere I travel to surf, observe and respect the local norms. If they seem like dicks it’s probably due to all those who came before who didn’t respect the local surf culture which is unfortunately all too common. Vans should really reconsider supporting this.

I think this pool is an engineering marvel, and the fact that they can recreate perfect waves over and over is really cool. However, nothing compares to the thrill you get when you are surfing out in the ocean, surrounded by Mother Nature in a location with gorgeous scenery.

Pretty much the only safe water outdoors in Australia. No saltwater crocs, no box jelly fish, no blue ring octopi, no white sharks...

Nice, Max is a solid guy. Would have been cool to see my old buddy Joe too. I spent nearly 25yrs in the JHole, a born and raised local Deb Martin died in Lunch Counter, she was an awesome human.

Something horribly distopian about watching that weird ass freight train water wedge working, i wouldn't have turned down the invite either, but this is just a whole horrible scene

killing it once again, such a gem! would've loved to see a little bit more of the behind the scenes of struggling to get to the wave and out of it, I always feel like that'd be super interesting to see! hyped on WW season 4, we've been waiting!

I almost surfed the Snake River in Idaho with my car one night! My pals and I were driving up to Canada from Sun Valley late in the night. At a stretch of the highway that hugged the river through a mountainous region that had more sharp curves than any road any of us of had ever seen, speeding like young idiots that we were....we came around a very sharp bend and there was aa giant trash can in the middle of the road. Just as we were about to collide with it, it spread a 6-foot wingspan and took off cleared the windsheild by inches. We all freaked out and I almost drove us off the road at 60moh into the raging Snake River just feet below us. I literally shit myself..... true story! :) We screamed in unison: "WTF was that?!??!" It was a massive Great Horned Owl. 3 feet tall! 6 foot wingspan.
